Daylilies Under $20
You don't have to spend a lot to fill a garden with daylilies. Everything on this page is a named, true-to-name variety priced under $20, and many are $10 to $15. These aren't leftovers. They're tough, reliable plants we grow side by side with our pricier daylilies.
Older and widely grown varieties often cost less simply because there are more of them around, not because they're any less pretty. Lots of the classics in this group are proven performers that gardeners have counted on for years. They're perfect for filling a new bed, edging a long walk, planting a slope or trying daylilies for the first time.
Our under-$20 selection includes rebloomers, fragrant daylilies, doubles, spiders, eyed blooms and every color from yellow and orange to red, pink and purple. Each plant page lists bloom season, height, fragrance and foliage type, so you can stretch your budget and still plan for color all season.
Getting them home: Every plant here is grown at our nursery in Vale, North Carolina. Pick yours up free in a full 3-gallon grow bag, or have it shipped bare-root, with the shipping cost shown in your cart. Daylilies grow across most of the country. Check foliage type on each page if your winters are very cold or very mild.
Want first pick before the spring rush? Reserve yours on our Spring Pre-Order page. Pickup and shipping start the week of May 11, 2027.
FAQ
Why are these daylilies less expensive?
Mostly because they're older or widely grown varieties, so there are more of them. They're the same healthy plants we grow for every order.
What size are they?
The same as the rest of our plants: a 3-gallon grow bag for pickup, or a bare-root plant when shipped.
Are prices the same for shipped plants?
Plant prices are listed on each page, and the shipping cost is calculated in your cart before you pay.

Hillside Notes
Bluebird Sky is often one of the very first daylilies to bloom for us at Hillside Lilies in Vale, North Carolina. Much like the return of a robin in spring, the appearance of its beautiful lavender blooms is one of the surest signs that daylily season has officially arrived. Year after year, this reliable early-season performer helps kick off the bloom season with color, height, and excitement.
With its tall scapes and soft lavender flowers, Bluebird Sky adds elegance and vertical interest to the garden while complementing both bold and pastel color palettes. As an added bonus, it is also a rebloomer, extending its presence beyond the initial flush of blooms. Dependable, attractive, and one of the first to welcome the growing season, Bluebird Sky remains a favorite in our collection.
